First wash your vehicle
Prepare your paint surface by washing the vehicle using a premium car wash such as Meguiar’s Ultimate Wash and Wax.
| Then clay your vehicle if necessary
After washing and drying your vehicle if the paint surface feels rough to the touch, we recommend using our Smooth Surface Clay Kit prior to compounding, polishing, or waxing.
| Finally:
After completing these steps, you are ready to start using your new Meguiar’s MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
Be sure to securely attach Meguiar’s 5 inch Soft Buff DA Backing Plate (DBP5, Backing Plates also come in 3 inch and 6 inch sizes) with the included wrench. Please be sure you read, understand and follow all the instructions provided in the MT300 Owner’s Manual.

Step 1. Compound
A. Dispense a small amount of Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound onto a clean Red Foam Cutting Disc (DFC5).
B. Set MT300 Polisher speed to 5800 OPM. Work in a 2 x 2 feet Section and apply 3-4 overlapping passes using moderate pressure, moving the pad slowly across the paint. Re-apply as needed to remove stubborn defects. (Do not allow product to dry.)
C. Wipe off residue using a clean Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfi ber Towel.
| Step 2. Polish
A. Dispense a small amount of Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish onto a clean Yellow Foam DA Polishing Disc (DFP5).
B. Set MT300 Polisher speed to 4800 OPM. Work in a 2 x 2 feet section and apply 2 – 3 overlapping passes using moderate pressure. (Do not allow product to dry.)
C. Wipe off residue using a clean Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfi ber Towel.
| Step 3. Wax
A. Dispense a small amount of Meguiar’s Ultimate Wax onto a clean Black Foam DA Finishing Disc (DFF5).
B. Set MT300 Polisher speed to 3800 OPM. Apply two overlapping passes using light pressure. Apply more product as needed until all painted surfaces of the vehicle are covered in a thin uniform coat.
C. Wipe off residue with a clean Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel.

Neglected:
Paint with moderate swirls, scratches, oxidation and stains. Complete all three steps with your new Meguiars MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
Average:
Paint with light swirls, scratches or oxidation. Complete steps two and three with your new Meguiars MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
New or like-new:
Paint with good gloss, NO swirls or oxidation. Complete Step three with with your new Meguiars MT300 Dual Action Polisher.
